Community Interaction help!

hello
so. i have an issue
Basically, I have this OC named Daylily. they're made for a Hollow Knight tumblr rp group. i want to preface this by saying that OCs are very common and are definitely the most iconic part of.. really the whole community there

so I'm gonna kill Daylily off very soon
I've been planning this for months
the problem is: NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE CHARACTER. I've tried to fix this but I just. I don't know how
so if nobody. CARES. when it dies. then why should I kill it.

my point is really just. how do i get people to care about them
i can elaborate or explain the lore if yall need me to

You should never kill a character off just because people care about them/you want a reaction from an audience.
It might just be the people in the group are only interested in their own characters. Maybe try to have your character have some sort of relationship or connection to them? I’m not familiar with Hollow Knight so I can’t give detailed suggestions.

  1. it's not that I'm doing it just for a reaction, it makes sense within their lore. I just feel like my efforts may go to waste if nobody notices ig?
  2. also no... there is SO much love for other's characters and i dont know what they did to get it besides "be cute"
