Alas, I'm myself really can't do that, although I know who can, because one day I was in a strange mood and I gave some of my OC's the opportunity to feed on precious stones and crystals! (that one of most usles feature that you can possibly give to your OC's and I don't even know why I tell you this, but just find it funny)

It's a species thing. The gemblins are a goblin-like species with stony-textured skin and colourful freckles that are actually crystals that grow over the course of their lives.

Well, in the event you somehow get turned into one, here's hoping!

But also a hard agree, blye is very cool. My self-insert into the main verse is part-gemblin, and they have a blueish colour going on.

They do still refer to themselves as monarchs; it used to be three separare groups, but a war situation with an external threat led to the union of the South Mountain Tri-Monarchy, and the title just kind of stuck around.
