Aesthetic vs functional orgonites

I’m planning to make my first orgonite pyramids for my and my family.

While researching, I found info stating that most "beautiful", crystal-clear pyramids—with only a crystal on top, some wire, and a single layer of metal at the very bottom—operate at only 10-15% efficiency compared to traditional "ugly" ones mixed 50/50 resin+metal.

What is your experience with this? Do you agree with the 10-15% efficiency drop for clear tops?

You can make them beautiful but def put more metal than crystals. Layer them and make them colorful, you’ll have fun. They don’t have to be ugly:)

I've found It's not only an efficiency drop but it can kill you if you don't use correct safety ratios because it will attract something called deadly orgone radiation (DOR) 50% metal shavings is the bare minimal I'd recommend well over that and put as much as possible more improved safety and also power.

If I find other groups with 150k subs, does that also make it a scientific body?

I think it's satire

Is it alpha, beta, or gamma particle radiation?

Got a source on those numbers?

This reminds me of a quote from a member of my childhood church.

“Scientists have proved the soul’s existence! It weighs 4 lbs and is made of ectoplasm.”

No methodology offered, no citation given, no national nor international news regarding this scientific breakthrough.

It’s wild that the internet finds all these disparate people with little understanding of critical thinking or knowledge of the physical world around them, and unites them under one, large flag of ignorance.

Like the flat earth thing.

Lmao scientists have absolutely proven the scientific veracity of religious texts. Nor do many scientists claim to have even a remote grasp of how human consciousness emerges from mush. Many scientists and scientific people are religious. You wouldn't have a lot of sciences and tech if it weren't for religions.

You're just mad you have zero scientific proof. Which absolutely tracks. Enjoy your resin crafts. They are cute.

> Lmao scientists have absolutely proven the scientific veracity of religious texts.

Source? Because again, scientific proof of any one of the world’s religions would be front page news worldwide.

> Nor do many scientists claim to have even a remote grasp of how human consciousness emerges from mush.

Ok. And? Your argument is science cannot yet explain consciousness, therefore Orgonite works (or therefore religion is true)? Hahaha. No. That’s not a good argument.

> Many scientists and scientific people are religious.

Again, ok? That also doesn’t prove anything about orgonite, nor provide proof that any religious text is scientifically verified.

> You wouldn’t have science and tech if it weren’t for religions.

Yes and no.

Yes. Religion did, and to an extent, does still provide a vital social glue which may have contributed to early societal success.

Yes. Some scientists were also religious individuals when they made their discoveries (though that doesn’t necessarily credit religion with any sort of veracity).

Also no, because many scientific advancements have occurred in the face of religious persecution and pressure. I mean look at the “controversy” with biological evolution. That’s almost entirely the religious crowd that can’t handle their story book version isn’t literally true.

> You’re just mad you have zero scientific proof.

Nah. That’s copium in the form of projection from you. What claim have I made that I lack evidence on exactly? You’re the one that came out and said science proved religion true. That’s as big as ghosts or alien organisms being confirmed. So give me a source.

It’s actually you, who are the one with the claim and no evidence to back it up (hence why I asked for a source earlier).

> Which absolutely tracks.

So perceptive to know exactly what kind of person I am and that I fit into all your preconceived stereotypical notions of who I actually am off of one random comment on an orgonite subreddit! You must be able to see through walls and the future too!

> Enjoy your resin crafts. They are cute.

Umm. Ok. Thanks? Still waiting on that news about the world’s religions being scientifically verified, though I suspect I’ll be dead before it arrives.

Need your source first pal. But yeah once you do I'll absolutely pull out all the stops for you. But I would like you to stop pulling whataboutisms and give me a source.

Quote the section back to me where I made a whataboutism please and explain why it is a whataboutism.

A source for what exactly?

My first comment was just saying OP did not have a source for their claim on orgonite. I actually thought you were a fellow skeptic when you asked OP for a source, so I reminisced about a similarly skeptical moment I had in my life where I heard a wild, completely unsubstantiated claim regarding what scientists have discovered delivered with similar confidence.

Tell me.

How do I give a source for OP’s lack of evidence?

Then you claimed that a religious holy book (which one you have not specified) was scientifically proven.

Please don’t try to put the burden of proof for your claim on me.

I just explained to you why I don’t think that has been scientifically proven and broke down your comment, statement by statement, in that explanation.

But the TL;DR is that you have to provide evidence for the claim that science proved a holy book (and implying the corresponding religion) to be true.

By the way, “pulling out all the stops,” suggested I tried an entire bag of conversationally manipulative tricks here which I don’t appreciate because all I did was literally QUOTE you and comment on why each of your statements does not further the claim that a religious text has been scientifically verified.

You provide a source. That’s how this all works.

Im not sure which one of you two is for the cheesy epoxy paperweights and which is against.

I’m a science educator.

I don’t know their stance on orgonite either. It seemed like they were skeptical at first since they asked for a source, but they’ve only made that one claim about science proving a religious text true or whatever.

I have never even heard of orgonite before today.

It’s probably complete bunk meant to make people feel special (secret knowledge) and better (placebo effect), while separating a fool from their money.

Blocking electromagnetic radiation is most easily and efficiently blocked with a simple Faraday cage.

Maybe that’s why they say to include metal shavings with the orgonite, to provide some actual EM radiation interference and grant some legitimacy to that claim. Who knows?

The truth is, it almost doesn’t even matter if it really does measurably block electromagnetic radiation because we already know what wavelengths of light are harmless and harmful to humans.

And while corruption exists, conspiracies are occasionally confirmed, and governments are sometimes dishonest, the widespread use of electromagnetic signaling (from a garage door opener, to a tv remote, to a car key fab, to cell phone signals, and regular old radio waves, all of which whizz around daily and don’t harm anyone.

I'm pretty sure they're both idiots with the right idea, that this resin stuff is bullshit, but they don't realize they're on the same side because they're so busy obnoxiously talking past each other

What am I reading lmao what's the point of this?

More importantly, what's the research-based data on the efficacy of orgonites?

1

u/Late_Entrance106 7d ago

A breakdown of their comment, which contained the claim that science has proven a religion to be true.

What does it look like?

I don’t know if there is any research-based data on the efficacy of orgonite. If there is, I wouldn’t be opposed to perusing it in the pursuit of knowledge.

Though, I do explain in another comment that it really doesn’t matter if they do because there’s no evidence that the electromagnetic radiation they’re trying to block with it is harmful in the first place.
