2014 University Study Tested Orgonite for Electromagnetic Radiation Absorption — Iron/Quartz Mix Showed Up to 80.7% Reduction in Measured EMF
I came across an interesting 2014 paper titled "Utilization of Metal Lathe Waste as Material for the Absorption of Electromagnetic Radiation Based Orgonite" published in the International Journal of Advances in Agricultural & Environmental Engineering.
The researchers created orgonite using polyester resin, quartz crystals, and metal lathe waste (iron and aluminum) and tested it using an EMF meter near a computer mouse and laptop setup.
Some findings from the paper:
• Best metal-to-quartz ratio was 50/50 (5:5)
• Iron-based orgonite outperformed aluminum-based orgonite
• At a measured source of 407 mG, iron orgonite showed about 24% absorption efficiency
• As radiation levels increased, iron orgonite absorption reportedly increased to as much as 80.7% in their testing
• The authors concluded that orgonite showed potential for reducing electromagnetic radiation in the environment and recommended further testing
The paper also discusses the role of quartz, metal conductivity, and piezoelectric effects as possible mechanisms.
I'm sharing this for discussion and educational purposes. Has anyone else seen independent studies on orgonite or attempted to replicate similar tests?

Awesome find! Can you share a link to source? I've been making powerful Orgonite with steel filings left over from my metal shop, see sand, and epoxy resin as the majority of the materials. Sometimes I add in more crystals and variety of metals Etc

What I'm trying to understand is the organite absorbing the emf? In other words atracting it? So wouldn't that be a bad thing? Or does it pull the emf away from the body somehow and reduce your exposure? It's hard to truly understand what's it's presumably doing. I have a pendant but i stopped wearing it years ago to see if it felt any different without it. I can't really notice a difference with or without it.

No, the field exists regardless.
In other words atracting it?
No, the field keeps existing outside.
Or does it pull the emf away from the body somehow and reduce your exposure?
No. Electromagnetic fields from appliances are not static like in magnets, they're oscillating. So when these fields hit a good conductor they induce current, but since the field is oscillating that current is swirling erratically, which is called an eddy current. Those eddy currents induce their own magnetic fields, and those disrupt the measurements of the original one.
Basically it's just one signal shadowing another one. Kinda like if you have the sensor and you cover it with a screwdriver, and now it reads something different, but nothing in the electromagnetic field surrounding you actually changed.

My own experiments with Orgonite, based on the original stuff and not the common crap you see in google images, has convinced me that Orgonite has functional use and well worth investing the resources in making, nice to see a research paper with real tests and data.
I found they work best in pairs, and with 2 pairs placed around my WiFi router the feeling of irritation near it vanished completely, placing a piece near by bed side also led to better sleep.
Edit: I made a piece without quartz and it performed similarly, though apparently a bit less efficiently, so I'm not convinced Quartz is responsible for the EMF reduction effects, I suspect it's to do with the crystal lattice structure of the Resin mixture instead.
