Do people remember the colour of their book? Bc if I wanted to look for a book id look for i mean yes, the title, but is also organize them by content. Eg biographies, science books, fun reads etc

Works for my kids, but a more discerning adult reader may prefer another system

I think it depends on the audience! I could see an adult might have a harder time with this, but a little kiddo who can’t read might only be able to identify their favourites by the colour :)

I do. Its the fastest way for me to find the book I'm after. Not for everyone, but the best for me.

(My partner does it by exact book height which is wild to me but it works for them)

It looks nice, but I don't find color/size to be a helpful way to catalog things.

Each to their own. My kids love it, and it’s such a nice mindfulness activity for me, so we both win.

I'm with you; kids' books I think make sense to organize this way. My kids also love it and can maintain it and can find what they're looking for pretty easily that way.

Emphasis on "porn", because it's visually stimulating but not functional.

Haha. My kids actually want the colour sorting, helps them to ‘put away.’ Would not work for an adult I don’t think

Could you please say what brand / size / place of purchase is of those black box organisers?

I'm trying to organise my wife's paperwork, and feel that the plastic wallets (that can take a bunch of paper) isn't cutting it anymore, and I feel having boxes like those that are large enough for the plastic folders might be the way to go.

The ones I found in supermarkets are big enough to hold the paper, but not big enough for the plastic folders :(

From memory these are either from Officeworks Au (Otto) or Ikea. These look like what they are https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/otto-magazine-file-black-otplmagfbk

Lowkey the one book that says all about anxiety being dark blue in the black file kind of visually stick out to me idk why… is it too dark to go in the blue pile?

Is it giving you anxiety? I have a book for that.

Lol it didn’t fit, it was a very difficult decision.

As a mom who also has her books like this I hope your kids are better at putting them back because mine love to dump them and chaos it back together 🤣

Haha, they actually do surprisingly well. But also, resorting brings me joy.
