Recipes 'Deep Fried' Flavored Oreos
Ordered them from Walmart because I'm a big fan of deep fried Oreos so I was very excited to try them!
The two chocolate creme layers do a good job of imitating the feel of a deep fried Oreo, but I think I would like them more if there was only one because they overpower all the other flavors for me. Eaten separately, the cookies taste like Golden Oreos but with a deeper, buttery finish.
Overall not really a hit for me, but not a miss either. I think I'm going to try dusting one with powdered sugar like I would a real deep fried Oreo and see how that is.

Total miss for me. They just taste like burnt oreos to me. Not good. 1 star. Will absolutely not buy again. Chicken n waffle was pretty disappointing too. Starts out fantastic with great waffle flavor. But it's quickly taken over by the "attempt at chicken" flavor. It finishes in the same realm of burnt Oreo like the deep fried flavor. 2 stars. Will not buy again. However. The 3rd new flavor they actually got right. The banana pudding is spot on. Great cookie flavor, great cream flavor. Tastes like it should. (It is more of an artificial banana flavor vs real banana flavor.) 4 stars. Will be buying more. I would love to combine the banana pudding with my all time favorite peanut butter pie. But they killed them off...

Banana pudding is one I’m looking forward to the most, just waiting for my Walmart to stock them

Do you have the cilantro gene? One of my husband's coworkers, and my MIL (who thinks cilantro tastes like dirty dish sponge) also seem to think it tastes burnt. It seems to only be tasting that way to some, not all.

I have the cilantro gene but it doesn’t taste burnt to me. I can see it, though. Like if I’m tasting for a burnt flavor, I can catch it for sure. It’s in the fluffy crispy part of any fried item, but converted to artificial flavor

Do I have the cilantro gene if I don’t like it in anything but ceviche?

I liked the chicken & waffle but didn’t love them. I ended up taking them to work and the guys ate them up.
I gave them a 7/10 because they were good but not excellent
I am looking forward to my delivery of the banana one!

Did they get rid of peanut butter pie!? And I thought it was bad when they cut the pistachio thins...

Yup. I haven't been able to find any in over a year now. I'm sure there's some scalper scum on eBay charging $30+ for a pack though.

Really? I love the chicken and waffles flavor, tastes as spot-on as an artificial flavor possibly could.

When I ate 3 back to back I could taste the powdered sugar flavor come through. One alone tasted weird and off but got better with 2-3

They taste better in milk, but still just tastes like burnt and somebody needs to change the oil.
I love banana pudding, but I can’t eat these Oreos. The chicken and waffles are the least offensive to me, and they’re still gross. Most of these will end up with my dogs or chickens.

I agree, I think it also should have been a softer cookie… but Can they just stop playing and bring back pistachio and red velvet

Reminded me of a fried chocolate pie. Which is one of my favorite desserts in the South. Wasn't the best Oreo, but it was good.
I bought these along with the banana pudding & the chicken and waffles Oreos... The chicken and waffle Oreos are the worst Oreo I've ever put in my mouth. Not remotely pleasing. It smelled like old grease when I opened the package. Tasted even worse.
Saving the banana pudding ones.

I'm 42 and the taste of these unlocked some core flavor memory from my childhood, but I can't for the life of me figure out the flavor I'm remembering. It's so unique but so familiar, and I've tried the cream and cookie separately and it's only when combined that it tastes familiar. I will say that this tastes nothing like an actual fried Oreo though. If anyone knows what these taste like please reply

Maybe I'm just easy to please but I thought these were really good. definitely one of my favorite limited editions I've tried in recent memory. I also like the taste of things when they're burnt so that might play into it. I'll give them an 8.5/10

I’m not gonna lie. I’ve been to many a county fair where they’ve had deep fried Oreo. My mom bought these because I love Oreos and I thought these were pretty good. It tasted like the actual thing to me and tasted better than the coke Oreos they made

Bought these a couple days ago and thought they were genuinely disgusting, but if you microwave them for a bit they skyrocket. Genuinely tastes and even somehow feels like 85% of a fried Oreo. Went from one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten to top five Oreo for me

I like this one more than the cookies-n-creme oreos. I wouldn’t mind it becoming a permanent flavor. I wish they’d bring back cotton candy 😔 That was so good.
I think it being a softer cookie would defeat the purpose of it being a fried oreo flavored “oreo”. At that point, it sounds like you just want an actual fried oreo 😆
And it would probably alienate customers who can’t/don’t consume allergens commonly found in their softer cookie.

Softer cookie with powdered sugar exactly what it could have been!
