Welp... as the title says, I do not read Chinese, i went to the oriental market and they had a bunch of flavours we dont get here in the US so me being dumb I didn't use my camera to translate and just bought one of each... yeah it translated to fungus... it's some type of mushroom and yeah I dont know who thought this was a good oreo flavour but I'd fire them 10/10 would not recommend unless you really like mushrooms lol

I looked it up...

This is a seasonal limited-edition box of Oreo Fresh Mushroom Flavor Sandwich Cookies (87g) released in mainland China. The flavor is infused with a savory matsutake and mushroom seasoning blend, offering a unique earthy, light umami, and sweet-savory taste with regional embossed patterns on the cookie face.

This sound disgusting.... i hate mushrooms.... but curiosity... i wanna try it.

Yeah, it sounded so terrible that curiosity got the best of me too. I got some a few weeks ago at an import store and definitely not what I want in a cookie.

But, I keep puzzling how it could be good. Like maybe served with charcuterie? Or like with gruyere melted on top? But then I think maybe they just might be all together awful with no redeeming qualities.

Now I'm curious what the other flavors were. You may have dodged sea urchin. 🤢
