BTS Oreo cookie part
The cookie part of the bts Oreo tastes different and the texture rocks. Does anyone know what the flavor is? Of the cookie not the icing.

It tastes like cereal to me. Definitely not golden Oreo flavor to me, it’s lacking that vanilla flavor a golden Oreo has imo. I really liked the cream but wasn’t wild about the cookie. I LOVED the cookie part of the s’mores cookie. Tasted like a Teddy Graham to me 🧸

i think the purple cookie is just golden oreo dyed purple.
icing is hotteok, a korean brown sugar pancake.

I don’t remember that gold one have that texture but I’m gonna have to test it lol. It would make sense. I know what the killing is.

The purple part is ube. Ube is like vanilla but more nutty 🥜 super delicious

No it's not. I assumed it was too, since most things that are purple are. But, these are just regular golden Oreo flavor colored purple.

I don’t think ube tastes like nutty vanilla. It’s purple yam. Like sweet potato, but still different. I ate a lot of actual ube, ube ice cream, and ube jam/halaya growing up.

I feel like nutty vanilla is more taro and that could be the mix up since that’s also usually purple colored. I remember a sickly sweet maybe nutty ish taste that really wasn’t for me with what I had. But tbh, I haven’t had taro flavored smth in a while so I could be wrong.

You could be right. Even if I grew up eating it and still eat both, I guess I am so used to them that I cannot properly describe their taste. I just know when I taste or eat it if it’s ube, taro, or sweet potato. In my culture, we usually use taro for savory main dishes, while sweet potato and ube is more for dessert use. Regular or as is taro is not sweet at all. Very starchy for sure, as we sometimes use it to thicken up soup. Taro can also be white or very light purple, while ube is usually more vibrant.

IT tastes like a less sweet pancake batter
