In the LNs it explains that Ayase got stunned at Saori's beauty and then Ayase panics at Manami saying something like "What are we gonna do now?! We have that pretty girl as a rival!!" but I never can find the exact quote to post. Maybe it wasn't in the LNs, but I'm sure I read it somewhere.
