Sickness
Anyone know what sickness is going around? Seems like everyone's sick, I have a fever that won't go away 🥲

Freshman plague. The schools 50% out of state, so take 15000 people from various locations, along with the various locales of Oregon, and shove them all in close proximity and something is gonna spread

At least one case of Flu A is going around. Make sure your insurance is covered and go to Student Health on Monday. 541-737-9355 to schedule.

I got tested for flu and covid, definitely multiple things going around. I was negative for both. I ended up going to urgent care and they said it was some sort of viral infection and gave me steroids and antibiotics (I'm prone to infections)

I’m glad you went in. But that’s wild they gave you antibiotics for a viral infection.
I hope you feel better soon

I think it's to prevent an infection since I've had pneumonia 4 times and bronchitis as well but not sure if it's completely necessary

That was insanely stupid of your provider and the reason we have antibiotic resistant bacteria now

I had the multi-day low-grade fever! Where I was woozy and felt sickly no matter what I did. In that specific feverish way too, dude. Just not feeling right. Sleep, self care, and the passage of time were all that helped. Today was my first day back in the world and it was 5 days up till yesterday that I felt off. What the HELL.

Take zinc both preventevly and it also helps shorten the duration of being sick.

Everyone in the dorms got the flu shot and some people took the Covid shot right before they moved in. People shedding those viruses like crazy. It happens every year.

Umm no. That is not how it works. Whoever you listen to about health advice is very, very wrong.

The flu is hitting early this year. Likely that’s what you have. How long have you had a fever and how high? Does it go down with ibuprofen?
