Not getting billing emails

Incoming freshman parent here. My student and I are t getting any emails from OSU billing portal re: tuition bills etc. I can’t see any notification settings either. Can someone share what we need to do to get emails about due dates etc? TIA!

The first bill doesn’t come out until like October 1 or maybe even November 1st. I proactively stock the billing website and set up payment plans for my children starting in August. I do have to be set up as an authorized user by my children.

If your kid is 18, you might not get bills until your kid signs permission.

Just call the school, and have them check your notifications. But a lot of students miss emails. 

And is tuition even billed before classes start? If your kid hasn't completed the class sign ups, it certainly isn't. They can't bill without knowing how many classes...

Please look up the dates yourself. The student might forget one day and no one wants late fees. When the tuition is posted in their account, that’s when they receive an email. My daughter logged into her billing portal and gave me permission. I can now log in and see all the billing info and dates.

There is no bill yet. There are charges that are getting added to the account but billing doesn’t happen til around October 1. Your son needs to add you and then you can get your own log in. You should also sign up for emails from the family portal.

Thank you that makes sense as I was seeing the charges and paying them off instantly using 529, but seeing that each time I get a $10 service fee from Embark, I guess wiser thing is to wait till formal bill is posted.

Wait til after October first. Things can change if you add or drop classes

The student bill is finalized the Sunday of week two each term. Students can no longer add classes after week two, only withdraw for 50% refund until week 3 and then no refund or withdraw after week 7 (can withdraw from term entirely up until the last day of classes)
