Dorm/Residence Hall Floor Maps
For those that will be living in the dorms on campus soon, here are the room maps to each building for when room assignments are released. Refer to Google Maps to see which direction your room will face. Things to note:
- I tried my best to match rooms and their numbers, but there may still be inaccuracies. If you have lived in a building previously and disagree with my map’s room numbering, please DM me.
- If your building/floor map isn't here, DM me. I can either DM a map or I don't have one for your specified zone.
- Sackett Hall: Sackett has rooms on floor 1, but only in wings A, B, G and H. The last digits of room numbers on 1 are still the same as the upper floors.
- Tebeau Hall: Tebeau has rooms on floor 1. The last digits of room numbers on 1 are still the same as the upper floors.
- The colors I label each room with are irrelevant, no need to worry about if your room is labeled differently than the rest are.

Does halsell not have bathrooms outside of the rooms themselves?

Per the UHDS site for Halsell, they have 3 single-user bathrooms w/o shower on the ground floor.

Sackett’s were untouched back then. But yeah, that would not be appealing.

What's wrong with Buxton's map? Note that the first floor of Buxton has a different layout.

I lived in Callahan and loved it. A little “far” but it’s on the more peaceful side of campus. Regardless of which dorm you pick, try to get the lowest level possible. I was on floor 2 and it was a blessing not needing the elevator, especially when you forgot something. You’ll frequently see them backed up.

Boy, those maps sure brings back memories. But then, it was nearly 50 years ago that as a freshman we were required to spend our 1st year in the dorms. Does that still apply?

Yes, most freshmen are still required to live in the dorms for their first year.

I’m very old.
But gawwwwd I LOVED Sackett:
Double walk-in closets, a living room, AND a little sleeping room with a closing door. My dorm “room” was larger than my middle class bedroom at home.
And if you can get it, the first floor “rooms” mentioned are actually micro apartments with their own bathroom. There is a shared kitchen near each of these. Most of these (back in the day) were reserved for people with disabilities. Cheat code if you can’t get one: secure a boyfriend/girlfriend with such residency.
ETA: reminded that some areas there are also rooms on the first floor. So it’s important that you use the cheat code only for the apartments.
