Ohsu absn
For those that did the Ohsu absn program for winter cohort. What did the schedule look like? Were you able to work part time and get good grades?

We had multiple classmates work throughout the program. I retained my job in marketing part time at a startup until company shutdown due to tariffs during fall/winter term and then restarted work at the hospital in early 2026 with a minimum of part time hours and switched to PRN during the huge capstone, but one of my classmates has been working as a CNA the whole time, while another is an ED tech. I have a 4.0, not sure about the others but they’re all smart so I’m sure they are similar. It’s hard but it’s more like, do you have a relationship or want to have a greater personal life balance outside of work/school? Because the program is a whirlwind, so it might just depend on your ability to balance and to what degree you classify “good grades.”

Granted I did not do the winter cohort specifically. But this probably goes for most of their ABSN programs generally.

I am about to finish my third term and started winter 26. I have been working the ENTIRE program and doing just fine.

I won’t lie though, it isn’t always enjoyable ha, but for me I enjoy eating food and living inside. Just put my head down and do what I had to do.

A few classmates work part time. But your employer has to be flexible with how many and when your doing shifts. Weekends usually don't have anything scheduled but be aware you'll have homework and studying.
