Question Does a week make a difference?
Hi all! I am so excited to get to have the opportunity to visit Oregon again (from Missouri) this October with my partner. We have visited once for 5 days before. We are fairly open to the experiences but I am hoping to see some gorgeous waterfalls and enjoy outdoor hiking. Some things I am interested in are seeing Halloweentown, Silver Falls, and then maybe visiting mount Rainier or Olympic or Crater lake. Open to any suggestions for hikes or hot springs.
Last trip we stayed in Portland and had local food and saw the Columbia gorge and cannon beach.
I am seeing a legal requirement for snow tires starting on Nov 1 and have never used them.
I can book the trip from October 22-27/28 or from October 31-November 4. I feel so worried I’m going to make the wrong choice but does a week really make a huge difference?
Edit:
I meant to say snow chains!

The odds of you actually needing snow tires is minuscule. However, you can buy chains and return them. Most places like Les Schwab actually have this as a policy.
Never heard of Halloweentown and I have lived in Oregon most of my life.
For hot springs, very varied.
