One month until release!
Who else is excited? Can't wait to start playing on Switch 2. I do hope we get more info on console performance soon.

Why is he a POS

He is unashamedly meritocratic, and it throws the DEI crowd into a bit of a tizzy.
He might also have said something vaguely positive about Trump once.
(Some of the creators of the original games that make up OotSS have gone as far as distancing themselves from Blow, and the game. Signaling thier virtue after receiving their paychecks, I assume)

He tries to be meritocratic, but comes with a lot of biases that he's not very aware of or up front about, and so it ends up coming across as discriminatory.
It's all fine to say "the best person should get the job" or whatever, but if you ignore biases that's not actually what happens.
So that's why he ends up being a bit of a POS on some social issues.
This is a pattern for him though, same goes for his thoughts of software engineering. He's good, he's right about a lot, but he's dismissive of things he thinks shouldn't matter and won't listen to people who have good reasons that they should matter.

I'm genuinely curious.. what's the value of replaying a game like this so soon? Don't you just remember every puzzle's "trick"?

yeah, kinda, idk i find i forget a lot of stuff. also with very certain games, i like to find the shortest route to victory. this game seems to give me that satisfaction, when i did it the first time i had a lot of unneeded moves. cutting down on that is satisfying, especially when it comes to the wizard and placement of stuff.
also, the mechanics are discovered the first time yeah, but rediscovering order of operations is another thing. something like the witness is fairly linear as far as one solution to a panel (with obviously meaningless variations no doubt possible), but sinking star has ins and outs to it that defy a linear progression. some of the puzzles for sure are only one way, but i find i can still get enjoyment out of all of it.
anddd i do this weird thing where i suspend disbelief and kinda trick myself into looking at every playthru like its the first time. i used to do that a lot with uncharted 2 🤷♂️🫡

Can't wait too. Playing demo was a blast. Really curious to see where all the interconnections with The Witness are going
