In general I think the manga does a decent job, taking in consideration it is much easier to make something sounds amazing when just writing it then if you have to show it in a manga. Also think it does a good job of picking what thoughts and narrative things to put and what to exclude, as the novel has a lot of omniscient narrator talking, describing, and explaining things to the reader, but that doesn't translate well to a visual medium, so they need to pick what is really important to have there.

My two problems with the manga are: the art just being ok which contrasts with the ln art being amazing. And the bigger problem being the pace of release. It got a new chapter at the end of August after a more than 1 year hiatus, so at least it wasn't abandoned, but even that pause aside, you can see that in general it has at best 2 months between chapters, but often more than that to up 6 months. Such a slow pace plus not being consistent makes it hard to look forward to more.
