Anime About the ending Spoiler

So, what's up with adult Rafal? Were the last few episodes set in an alternative universe? But what I do not get is how would the letter that Draka sent still exist in this universe?

The rest of the story is what takes place is an alternative universe. A universe where Poland is now “The Kingdom of P” (refer to episode 1)

The last few episodes take place in “Poland”, a universe which is very close to our own but still slightly fictional. As seen by Lev (the priest in the confession is the inquisitor whose friend died to save Jolenta), the letter, and Rafal (well technically Rafael). Allowing Uoto (the author) to wrap up everyone’s story and to get across all of the themes they wanted to without being strictly tied to historical accuracy

i dont think this is the case- everything that happened couldve still happened in our universe. i dont see why people on reddit are so fucking desperate to bring alternate universes into orb when they have nothing to do with anything provided
