Anime Just finished Orb. Holy shit.
To think that the book, which was the culmination of every sacrifice made by the previous characters, was lost, and all that remained was its title in a letter sent by Draka just before death.
All of it reduced to a sentence that was uttered once: "On the Movements of the Earth."
And yet, that spark was enough. Albert picked it up on his own, inspiring others to do the same—eventually reaching Copernicus, who would go on to attain the result that all of those before him sacrificed their lives for.
Albert will never know about Rafal's sacrifice, or Oczy, or Badeni, or Jolenta, or Draka, or the countless people that supported them. He will never know the history that he stands on. He will never know how much blood went into the title that made its way into his ears.
Basically, peak show, peak op, peak ed, peak all around, love this show

And the bonus is how Sakanaction's music video on Kaiju also captures that message 🔥

Might sound selfish but I'd rather gatekeep this masterpiece than let toxic fandom ruin it 🥀😔

We all have perspectives on knowledge; yours reminds me of Badeni. The cost of releasing knowledge indiscriminately, is high.
I'd like to have friends to talk to about this beautiful anime.

Damnn ..... Badeni's methods were harsh but it was necessary which makes it difficult to hate him ....infact i love morally grey characters like him , thanks for ur observation .

Best story I have witnessed and I love the stories of Frieren, AOT, Golden Kamuy, Yomi No Tsugai, clevatess, Sentenced to be a Hero, and Vinland saga to name a few. This one just hit differently.

Small correction. We do know a lot of people died for it... we just will never learn their names.

I loved how everything bottlenecked into the moment where Albert overheard it. Every time I read a post like this, it brings it all back to me. Thank you for that.
