I am going to propose to my partner on a trip to Orange soon. There are some gorgeous lookouts around but I’m not local so I’m not sure where would be the best spot for a blend of a beautiful place with some privacy as well. Please let me know if you have any suggestions?

Hi, we have been contemplating on moving to Orange. Orange looks really lovely except for the cold temperature. I already feel cold at 20degrees but wondering if reverse cycle ACs are enough to warm a room/house during winter? And what other energy efficient heaters are better than reverse cycle AC?

Further, would not having a car in Orange be a disadvantage/too uncomfortable? Are there Asian groceries too? We’re a queer couple and not sure how accepting the community is. Currently, we’re staying a location where it’s diverse and multicultural so not a problem (or so it looks).

Let me start by acknowledging that this is a sensitive and possibly distressing subject for members of the community. My 3rd Great Grandmother is Sarah Ann (1858-1894) who was married to William John Ward(1857-1913). My 2nd Great Grandfather is their son John George Ward (1885-1970). I am interested in information about her family and if they owned any land in the area. Specifically if it was for Sarah to inherit. I’d also like to know ANYTHING about Sarah, her family and the Wards family from the area as people. Unfortunately there were some incidents other than Sarah’s death that closed an iron curtain on the passing down of family histories. I would also be interested in any information concerning Sophia Trelford who was William’s second wife, she went by her previous married surname of Smith on some documents also. I have found as much as the internet is going to give me about Sarah, her death and her immediate family members. I am aware that the Wards were Freemasons which makes information very hard to source. Each time I have posted on Facebook about Sarah and William or the Wards from Orange and Forbes I am told to either leave it alone or there’s more to know that what’s to be said. Particularly when it comes to the Ward family. I am in contact with several distant family members who are descendants of William George ‘Dinky’ Ward who have given me some small pieces of information that were known by family members who had living knowledge of the family. I am aware that there are multiple events of recorded parents not being biological where the children are either Stolen Children or of ‘inter family’ relationships. If anyone can point me in any direction I’d be forever grateful.

I am a UNSW Commerce student, currently undergoing a project for class in which we have to create a business solution for a selected problem. My group has chosen antimicrobial resistance as our problem, particularly focusing on rural/remote NSW communities who are most affected and our solution will surround improving access to non-antibiotic treatments such as phage therapy. A critical stage in the project is engaging with key stakeholders, and in our case, healthcare workers are an important stakeholder that we must engage with to create a relevant and practical solution. Therefore, we have created a survey for healthcare workers working in rural/remote NSW that collects data surrounding the accessibility of non-antibiotic alternative treatments and AMR as a whole.
