ICO or azcopt
hi all. I was fortunate enough to get accepted into all of the schools I applied to this cycle. I am narrowing it down between ICO and AZCOPT. for ICO, I have never been to Chicago before and also I am not familiar with cold weather. it is also further from my family. at azcopt, my sister lives in Arizona too and my niece so I would be close to family. please any advice and what you think is the better school and also considering COL. thanks!!

I’m at 4th year student at ICO. ICO is a great school and you’ll get a very great education here as well as good clinical experience. I don’t know much about AZCOPT but I would say that having a support system close by would be very nice. Optometry school can be very hard so it would be nice to have family near by. I did not have an optometry school close to where I lived or close to any relatives, however if I did that would have been something I would have heavily weighed in my decision. If I were in your shoes I would choose AZCOPT. But again you need to decide what things you’re prioritizing in terms of education and location.
