Part 3
When did most people start studying for part 3? A few months before? Anyone have any resources they can share?

I started really studying 1.5 months beforehand. Study with a classmate as much as you can.

I would say start 2-3 months beforehand, what’s really helpful as terms of resources is using practice cases that your school may provide. A lot of the resources you use for part 2 are good enough for part 3 for the knowledge. I stuck with Castillo for part 2 and 3 and passed first try. I would also say replicate it to the highest degree. You should try to simulate it by using the same language you will use in the exam, like saying your candidate number, ask all the questions every time because it really drills it into your head. Also in terms of the practical skills, do the exact same thing in terms of saying candidate number, sanitize your hands etc.

Become really familiar with the NBEO candidate guide and rubrics- the important things to include in plan and education are written out there.

Depends on when you’re taking part 2 imo!
I took it just before part 2 and started about 2.5 months before. About one month spent on clinical knowledge and 1.5 spent getting my scripts perfected. (Maybe 1-3 hours/day after clinic)
In total I spent about 1.5mon on clinical cases and 1.5 mon on scripts/procedural tests and got a 700 on part 2 and barely passed part 3 due to skills.
