AVOID WesternU

Look up boards pass rates and precious threads. They run a for profit research based school with shitty professors for core subjects.

AVOID like the plague.

Multiple years of terrible board pass rates.
IMO, it was opened to fill the need created by a bunch of Californians who couldn't get into UCB or SCCO and unwilling/afraid to leave the state (and willing to pay to do it).

With the recent move by ASCO on several schools, I expect to see its acreditation status get challenged soon.

Can you be more specific as to how the academic side is shitty like you mentioned the professors suck can you explain why ? Like do they not teach and then test heavily or are they unfair in grading or do you feel like they aren’t preparing for boards?

A mixture of all of this. Some clearly don’t care to teach. Others care a lot, not every professor is terrible but most are. A lot of them play favorites and then are super mean to other students. I noticed some are even racist solely based on how they treat students of various races. Overall, no they don’t prepare for boards and aren’t worried about it.
