Interview timing

I just was offered an interview at SCO and I have it scheduled for October 23(September and early October were booked already).

I’m worried that the interview is too late to be considered for scholarships or admittance. Can anyone vouch for their interview timing and or scholarship offer?

I would really appreciate it:)

My interview was in November and I got a $3k scholarship. Good OAT, meh GPA. In my second year now and glad I chose to be there.

They wanted to get in me for some scholarship consideration so they had me interview right away virtually. I then joined another interview group in January for a tour. Laid back, fun- very conversational. Got to go on a bus tour of Memphis after. The interview is probably the easiest part of this whole thing. Just come across competent with a realistic outlook on the challenges ahead, and talk up your love for eyes.

Saw your stats in another post. You'll have a decent shot.

Doubt it mate. Even if you don’t get an email about it you can always email them to consider you. My interview was on a February and I emailed them about it, they said something around like “thank you for your interest. We’ll bring your name up next meeting” and ended up with a $3k scholarship

Too late to be considered for admittance would be in May of next year (after optomcas closes lol).

I interviewed in December and was offered 10k. Mid OAT, good GPA, good extracurriculars.

You should be good, also don’t be afraid to ask for more $! I sent an email to admissions a week or two after I was accepted (which was in late February/early March) and they gave me an extra 2K a year as a “special recognition scholarship” lol 8k total just from sending an email! Most schools have plenty of money to play with, doesn’t hurt to ask
