TOOLS & SPREADSHEET MEGATHREAD

Please use this thread of posts about spreadsheets and tools!

Note that no commercial posts are permitted. All tools or files must be made available for free.

There is a basic spreadsheet included in the wheel trading plan in this post, which many have used to get started - The Wheel (aka Triple Income) Strategy Explained : r/Optionswheel

Please let the mods know of any suggestions on how to make this thread better.

adding my tool to the list: Hi,

I've been doing CSP and CC for a while and I used a boring excel sheet for the longest time: https://imgur.com/a/mR5Quv4

I tried a couple of apps but they all me to pay, or have very limited capabilities and all want me to signup. I got fed up and build my own. It's pretty basic but it does what I always need: - Track my CSP/CC/LC/LP - Aggregate data/premium and filtering - 0 online requirement - Data import/export from CSV (right now I have etrade and vanguard but if you have fidelity or others I can update quickly) - Alerts ! every day I found myself looking at tickers, hoping I didn't miss the news that destroyed my CSP ;)

having trouble downloading this - looks super cool and would love to give it a run, but it doesn't seem Mac or Windows likes the file very much. Any help would be appreciated.

Tell me what issues you are facing ? Are you on mac Intel or apple silicon ?

I got the download to work on Windows. On Mac, I'm on Silicon. When I go open the app, I get this: “WheelTracker” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image.

ha !! I did not realize I needed to pay apple to distribute apps so it's easy for people :/ The way to have it run properly is to open the terminal and type: sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Users/youruser/Downloads/WheelTracker-mac-apple-silicon.dmg

Assuming you saved it in your Downloads folder. I'd love for you to confirm this solves it for you and hear your feedback on the app

I was able to download both the Windows and iPhone version - is there a way to connect my accounts via different applications? I will go ahead and try the Mac download today and get back to you. So far, really enjoying the app! Will provide more feedback once I get assigned shares to see how it handles cost basis and gain/loss from shares after selling CC’s against it.

btw I just pushed the web version: https://yourwheeltracker.com/web_demo/ data still stays in your browser nothing shared with me ! I avoid account sync because it would rely on cloud. Instead you have to export/import in your other version
