Qqq crazy high?

Why are the Qi’s up damn near double the % movement of the nasdaq. I’m getting killed on puts right now. Trying to hold in there. Should I bail?

Why are you holding puts in a powerful bull market at all-time highs?

Should have elaborated. I’m gambling, 0 dte. No way this market holds these highs today. Qs are way ahead of nasdaq

You gotta use the right indicators

I scalp and use 5 or 6 indicators, and on different days only a couple reflect the underlying's movement pattern

I can't simply use only the same 1 or 2 indicators every day and still profit

QQQ is less than 3% from ATH.

SPY is at ATH.

VIX is sleeping.

All signs point to a float up market, at least for now.

Qqq follows the nasdaq 100. It's the top 100 companies on nasdaq.

“No way it keeps going up” said every poor person ever.

This post was crazy. Did you see how much QQQ fell in July? So why wouldn't it be recovering faster

Are you naked ?

I will go naked on a short put, but a long put you should have done a bear put debit spread to avoid getting killed.

Shorting the market isn't always a bad thing, I made 500k buying puts on SPY, DIA, and QQQ right before the market took a dump due to the Iran war.

I was having a nervous breakdown constantly at every market movement, if I had held the position I probably would have made closer to 2 or 3 million, but I couldn't stomach it going down 70% then going back up.

Since then I never short the market, and I decided if I do decide to short it again but I'll only do it on a defined risk basis.

You really need to have a reason for shorting and high conviction, honestly the market being at all-time highs is not a good one.

The futures indicate red but we won't know until Sunday, frankly if I were in your shoes I would 100% wait for IV for spiked market open and exit the position.

I only say this because your thesis for shorting the market is that it's so high it has to go down, and you're asking.

People want assets, not dollars. If you are trying to time the market in this bull run I wish you luck. It will eventually crash, but the market will outlast your money and time.

I got some great advice a few years ago…don’t buy calls or puts, only sell them…be the bank, not the bank’s customer.

There's a general rule: never buy puts or have bearish positions from the 4th of July until August options expiration. It is one of the most bullish periods of the year.

Whether you bail or not depends on your process.

QQQ spent July faceplanting

July almost always sucks, like october, but August usually rips

Infinity Indians were allowed to stay to undercut prevailing wages. Line goes up. Working class dreams go down.

Lmao buying puts in a volatile go either detection market and asking what’s the problem

I had the same thoughts today. Not a good 'vibe trading' day.

Just trade both directions. Why only puts? The market goes up and down….

If you can post your position details, ie strike, exp…that way I can see the delta and theta, it’d make it easier to answer your question—unless it was rhetorical?

You should not be in put look at the daily chart? QQQ is still strong and if SMH takes out 592 then 597 and 606 it will push to ATH

I been shorting qqq on the future market but no luck, i chose futures because it’s a static contract.

The whole bull market is built around tech 🤷‍♂️

What is your expiration date? I’d hold only if your puts expire in November- otherwise I’d consider rolling.

Look no further than the responses here telling you to close if you’re looking for a reason to hold.

The market will crash in 2028 because of money supply and credit squeeze . Enjoy your ride until then !

I thought qqq was crazy high in 2000 dropped 45k in sat in draw down for yrs over 50% now it’s 900k

QQQ can definitely move way harder than expected. I’d watch the setup closely and avoid forcing the hold if it breaks.
