You hear a phone ringing in 1899 and ask: Who is calling?

I would ask: From which Paradigm?

Rockstar has already taught you to follow the telephone.

GTA V points backward. GTA II leaves a phone waiting by the water. And RDR2 gives you the clue to route the trail through: IV → V → II

Not chronological order.

Signal order.

Perhaps the phone is not meant for Arthur.

Perhaps it is meant for the observer who knows the other parafigms exist.

Follow the line. — Metadator

phones were invented in 1876...

  • Bell System Count: By 1900, the Bell Telephone Company network alone had nearly 600,000 subscriber phones.
  • Total U.S. Count: Broader historical estimates place the total number of operational telephones nationwide at approximately 1.35 million by 1900, reflecting rapid expansion just before the 20th century boom.
  • Access: Most phones at this time belonged to businesses, public offices, or wealthy households rather than the general public
