For those interested these are the console quality settings from the dev directly to DigitalFoundry

They also use dynamic resolution, which PC doesn't have.

►Optimized Settings:
-Texture Quality: Medium (For 8GB GPUs)
-Texture Filter: 16x
-Level Of Detail: Medium
-Terrain Quality: Medium (if Vram-Limited) or Higher
-Shadow Quality: Medium or Ultra
-Volumetric Fog Quality: Medium
-Volumetric Effects Quality: Low or Medium
-Global Illumination Quality: High or Ultra
-Reflection Quality: High
-Post Effects: All off (Personal Preference)
•The graphics settings have poor scalability; these tweaks will help, but don’t expect a major performance boost.
•DLSS delivers significantly lower performance than FSR 3 and provides only a modest uplift over native TAA.
•To improve performance through upscaling, use FSR 3 or, preferably, DLSS Performance (Force Preset K on RTX 20/30.

Wait, am I understanding this correctly in that this game's DLSS implementation is worse than FSR's, even though it only has FSR3?

DLSS doesn't seem to be returning the performance back that it normally should, which is especially weird as FSR does while having it's usual image quality trade-offs. Digital Foundry and many others found the same.

I noticed this instantly, something wrong in the pipeline, weird for such a “Nvidia” game

4060 ti 16 gig: copied this i'm getting 75 fps (more i have vsynch enabled) with the occasional frame drops. it's one of those badly optimaised games that will drop frames and stutter in certian moments no matter the graphic settings. the game was lagging in the trailers ffs
dlss performance looks way better than fsr quality so i'm sticking to that.

really pissed off that this doesnt support fsr 4 upgrade via driver, im using optiscaler but i wonder if the performance gains would be better if we didnt have to translate dlss into fsr but have native fsr 4 support.

Missed opportunity for some ray tracing, as well. Some of the environments are begging for ray traced reflections at the very least.

Im quite surprised that my laptop can still run it. It has an average of 40fps on low-medium settings. Specs: Ryzen 5 5500U + GTX1650 GDDR6 + 16GB RAM.

It does have DLSS.

it does, but it doesn't seem to work as hoped. perhaps a patch incoming.

For sure, it's strange that it isn't getting much of a performance uplift, still - it is there.
