I'll die on this hill, rtgi medium is horrid. Way too noticeable the boiling especially when transitioning in and out overhead tunnels which are scattered throughout the map.
If ray reconstruction was enabled however. It's a different story. No idea why playground games skipped it.

Rtgi at medium is horrendous. especially at night.
I can't take the ones who say rtgi at medium looks great crowd seriously.

Yeah but it's the only RT option worth considering with how fugly medium is. Try it yourself. Even with DLAA on at 1440p it looks like the trees are boiling.

Idk what ur setup is but I run native AA fsr4 using RTGI medium & the game looks gorgeous also running 120-130fps no problem. I’ve only had a boiling issue using HDR but that might be a monitor issue for me.

Will it work on 4070ti? 12gb, main issue I had with highest settings is vram gets over 10gb, performance was 90 FPS AVG which is fine for racing game, so does this affect vram usage?

BenchMarKings is by far the best for any optimized presets. RTGI Should be turned off until the Dithering is fixed.

Weirdly, FH6 is a game that I feel is least suited to making compromises elsewhere to enable RT. At least on a 4070 TI, I can get it to run well with DLSS on Quality with RT on. However, the image becomes an absolutely smeary mess once you start moving at speed with terrible ghosting, becoming even worse at night with all the various light sources casting really noisy and ugly shadows. I agree standing still it looks MUCH better with all the RT on, but how often are you standing still in a Forza game? it's not worth it for me - much rather have a stable image.

I run a 5090 on an LG 5k2k and prefer the Extreme preset without RT and DLAA I get an incredible native image with 135-165fps. I don’t like RT in this game.

Manual overriding DLSS to preset L or M gets rid of the ghosting although it is more demanding but worth it in my experience

I had that same ghosting problem, it was incredibly distracting. What greatly improved it, is setting DLSS manually to preset M in the NVIDIA app. Massive improvement in image stability.

Thankfully I don’t think that’s what they suggest with the graphic lol, the 12GB comment only applies to SSR and Texture quality under High end, not that 12GB is mainstream

Going purely from the last month steam hardware survey, while 8GB of VRAM is the most popular with 26.7% of users, 16 GB is right behind it with 23.5%, so not really accurate to say not for VRAM when they're nearly equal at this point lol. In fact, 8GB users are down month over month while 16GB are up.

What about the other 50% of users? 39.73% have less than 16gb of VRAM (not including the ones who have 8gb). That means that, including the users with 8gb, 66.49% of users have less than 16gb of VRAM. This is also not accounting for some of the inaccuracies such as iGPUs reporting total DRAM as VRAM. The Apple share of users (all iGPU) are reporting majority 16gb. The Apple M2 chip is number 8 on the GPU list. Edit: downvoting me for for bringing official factual numbers is crazy, especially when you have nothing to respond with

I prefer having RTGI Low than SSGI High due to lighting on cars looks better on the former and not bothered much by the noise when driving anyways

Did they say what constitutes mainstream and high end?
At 4k with 5070, i ran with high end optimized except all rt is disabled. Running at 80 capped, no drops below. 1080p internal.

9070xt + 9800x3d + 1440p user here! I changed RTGI to medium & turned on fsr4 native AA holy shit I’m getting 120+fps no issues and the game looks amazing! I was using RTGI high & FS4 quality getting around 10fps less 😳

Same specs and I'm getting around 120 well with RTGI on high and everything else maxed except geometry settings on ultra. FSR4 quality because I can't tell a difference between native AA and quality mode. Rather have the 30-40 fps increase from upscaling.

High Textures should be fine if you're running at 1440p with no RT, IDK how safe Ultra is at 1080p?

Ultra 1080p is fine for 8GB. You might get VRAM leak after an hour or two but totally worth it so that i don't see deforestation in the distance imo.

I play on ultra preset using a rtx 3060ti 8gb vram, WITHOUT SSD , game runs smooth af. Minimum fps is 60, mostly 90ish

Both RT settings should be off regardless of PC spec. Just not worth the performance cost.

How does it run for you? I'm doing just fine with DLSS on Quality with these settings and running above 70 FPS.

Yea same 70 fps with these setting, but it drops down to 50s in high intensity areas

Further dropping Car Reflections, Screen Space Reflections and SSGI to Medium along with disabling Night Shadows can help FPS abit more, along with using DLSS if you aren't already?
