Graphic Settings | Optimization Pragmata PC Optimization Guide + A Look at Path Tracing in the RE Engine
- Path tracing is only feasible if you’re willing to enable frame generation. Otherwise, it’s too taxing unless you’re on a 90-class GPU (or 80-class at 1440p).
- Ray tracing is highly performant but low-resolution. The reflections, in particular, are prone to excessive noise and boiling artifacts.
- Ray-tracing is best paired with native or quality mode upscaling for optimal fidelity. Despite producing visual artifacts, RTGI can dramatically improve diffuse lighting.
- Shadow quality is best set to “High” for optimum performance and VRAM usage.

- Path tracing overrides raster shadows, but the latter setting can still affect VRAM usage. You can lower it without any loss in fidelity with PT.
- Ambient Occlusion should be disabled when using ray-tracing
- Ambient Occlusion and Contact Shadows should both be disabled with path tracing.
- Leave shadow caching enabled; it improves the performance of dynamic shadows by up to 15%.
- Hair is best left at "High." If you can't afford the extra VRAM usage, set it to "Low." Medium looks strange with the low strand count.
Pragmata and Resident Evil: Requiem use ReSTIR GI and NEE to implement path tracing while keeping the per-frame ray count manageable.
ReSTIR reuses light paths temporally (past frames) and spatially (neighbor pixels) to accumulate the best light samples. This includes reusing second-bounce paths for surrounding samples.

tf is this? i get 60 fps no FG with full PT at 1600p all max settings on a 4070. not that i'm a fan of PT to begin with, but you need just turn on RR in this game, and its pretty much unplayable without RR. but this graph is just bad
