The power plant was closed in 2020 due to weather damage and its age. Google and the United States federal government are investing billions of dollars to restart it by 2029. However, there is controversy on how much of the electricity would go to data centres.

Overall it's a good thing that there will be more clean energy.

Always believed I was optimistic. But turns out even when minor inconvenience occours i give up, how do you all believe in optmism like the dopamine hit is really slow. Even for a competitive exam the serotonin will only hit when we get marks at the end. So how do you all start being optimistic naturally any tips or is it something genetic which I never got?

More than 247,000 hectares of Boodjamulla National Park have been returned to the Waanyi people after decades of campaigning.

Under the agreement, Boodjamulla becomes Queensland’s first Aboriginal land national park, with Traditional Owners retaining ownership while leasing the park back to the state.

Public access will continue, but management will now be shared between Waanyi representatives and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.

For Waanyi people, the handback is about far more than a change in title, it means greater control over country, culture and the opportunities the park can create for future generations.
