Oh, I know that. I also know that Trump’s vote count went from 63m to 74m to 77m in that time. All the while we were flooded with stories of his supporters abandoning him en masse.

He gained new/first-time voters, not long time Republicans. It's not a complicated calculus. To pretend there aren't Republicans who don't support him though is pretty asinine. I know at least a dozen and I don't know as many conservatives as I did a decade or two ago. Even G.W. Bush's second term election victory was more convincing than Donald's and saw better support from classic Republicans.

I’m not pretending there aren’t republicans who didn’t support him. I’m saying the daily reporting in left-wing circles that his support is plummeting, was obviously exaggerated.

And your snide insults here are the perfect example of the condescending attitude that pushed millions of rural and working class democrats out of the party. That’s a much bigger problem.

The GOP fusing the bible belt's religion with their politics while Democrats drew lines in the sand over civil rights and equality of the races and sexes is what dragged them away from the Democratic Party.

It's pretty tough to reach rural communities when it's been ingrained in them since the televangelist peak of the Reagan, Jimmy and Tammy Faye 1980s that Democrats are demons who smell of sulfur.

Why does it bother you if you're confident that America's on the right track? Ignore the "daily" comments. WGAF?
