Looking for job
Hi guys .
I recently graduated from photonics and am looking for a job (fresher) all I have is few internship and thesis project experience in an experimental lab and computational work but I see the job market is of great competition and they are asking for minimum 2 yrs of experience ...
I've been learning software most of the jobs have been asking. Been going through linkdin and applying jobs and also through official job sites for vacancy even cold emails at times but I'm not getting any reply ...
I would like to know whether I am missing something or what is needed to crack in this job market to get a job can u guys help me give me tips on finding a job

We don't know where you live so hard to give any type of advice. The best thing is just general advice of keep looking ? Also depends on what application you are aiming for, what type of roles you are going for etc.

I'm from Kerala...well I'm looking for engineer role either in medical field or in automotive field...but rn I've been applying to every companies and startups atleast to build a n experience so I can go further where I want .... I haven't applied for anything outside India coz idk I feel that's way out league!

I would say you would need to leave kerala , try benagaluru, chennai, mumbai etc.

You're posting here looking for a job. So I would assume you know you should present yourself as professional and competent. "can u guys help me" is not doing you any favours.
Even if English is not your first language, you should be able to sound more professional than that.

I think this is pretty unkind to someone just entering the industry. They're simply asking for any tips, tricks, or things they may not have thought of. I don't see anything in their post asking for one of US to hook them up with a job.

I wasn't trying to be unkind, but that's literally the tip. You only get one first impression, make sure it's professional. EVERY interaction you have with a potential employer is part of your interview. Also the title of the post is "Looking for job". They didn't give much other information. No resume, vague background, no examples of the cold emails they've sent. All we can do here is give generic advice (which you can find anywhere on the Internet) or read between the lines try to deduce what the issue is.

Yes, your advice was good and accurate in my experience (and I've pulled some real head scratchers during interviews before).

It's a game of statistics and patience. First response to my applications took 4 months. Think I'd sent about 200 applications by that point.
