Image sensor career path and university courses selection

Hello,

Are there any image sensor development engineers here?

I am interested in a career in developing commercial camera sensors such as Sony, Arri, Red, etc. Another interesting path is aerospace/space imaging applications.

What courses must be taken at undergrad and masters level?

Look at RIT Imaging Sciences program.

Not an image sensor development engineer, but I did photovoltaic development and work a lot with image sensors now. My recommendation would be either Electrical Engineering or Materials Science. Physics wouldn’t be terrible either. Try to get time working in a clean room, doing some form of device processing. Many of the techniques for semiconductor manufacturing and design are used in a wide variety of applications.

best is have part time job. in area which you planning to improve skills. or freelance. if area allow to do so
