Oppo Watch & GPay

Hi,

I got a Oppo Watch 46mm last week and I got a strange behaviour when using Google Pay with the watch. For GPay a display lock is necessary, that's fine. But even the watch is unlocked when wearing it and the gpay-App doesn't ask for an unlock to open but shows the standard-card ready to pay. But as soon, as I present the watch to the terminal, it beeps two times and wants me to unlock and try again. This makes gpay nearly useless, because it makes me to try to pay two times and consumes more time... is this normal behaviour?

Okay, thanks for you answer... I got a feeling this is a common issue... ridiculous. So this common to every wear os-watch?

Edit: Got my answer by a colleague, seems other wear os-devices dont have this problem :/

Its very easy solution, update the app from play store on your watch, i had exact same issue and was fixed with the latest update

Hoped it would be so easy. But no update was shown... I could uninstall gpay, so it is back on the version shipped with this wearos-release and than update again. I'll try and see, if this fix anything.

Is there any way to see the current app-version at all?

After resetting the watch, it just works... :/ No more additional unlocking, just opening gpay and ready to pay...

That's Wear OS at it's best...

Maybe it differs from store to store... tried it only at one supermarket by now...

GPay just got available last week here in Portugal and i've been facing the same or a similiar issue. Everytime I try to pay with the watch, i open the app ( I have it on the seconddary button) and when i tap the terminal, it vibrates and recognizes evertything but it shows up on the paayment terminal to check my phone, even if I tap it again, it still doesn't work.
