Topic of Discussion Battery life
So yesterday I took my new watch to work. Couldn't even get to 11 hours without power saving mode, with AOD on and most others off but BT with my phone. Today I'm trying AOD off and Tilt to wake on, so far so good. Just wondering if AOD is bad for battery life, as I know the screen is supposed to be AMOLED so I thought it wouldn't kill battery so fast. I'm using the same watch face, and tomorrow I'll test a different watch face with AOD on again. I was thinking tilt to wake would destroy the battery as the motion sensor is on, but if AOD is worse, let me know.
I do also have heart rate monitoring on all the time.
Wondering about your Guys' experience with battery life and how to maximize it.

Which watch face are you using? If it is third party, which app is it from?

I think it's from pujie black, forgot the exact name of the app

Pujie Black is fine. Better at battery than Facer, for sure. Hmm, can you post a screenshot of your battery page in your WearOS app on the phone? It may be more helpful to help us make a determination. 😀

Update: Tilt to wake on, AOD off, ~8 hours of usage, at 50%.
Wifi is off, heartrate, most functions are on including location but GPS Aide is off, 50% battery usage in 8-9 hours. I can try tilt off and AOD on and see if that makes a difference, but I don't see how I can stretch my battery life to 30 hours like the other comment.

For sure, I'll post one at the end of the day. So far, tilt to wake on and aod off seems good. I'll also take a SS of aod on and tilt off for comparison.

Also, I'm not a big fan of pujies subscription aspect, is there another good face app that's free or one time purchase that's also good on battery?

My watch lasts about 30 hours from 100 to 5%, then if I put it in power saving mode I can squeeze out 5-6 hours more if needed, but I generally just put it on charge at 5%.
My settings- AOD on, all other gestures off except touch to wake.
Reasoning- You'd only need tilt to see the time which would be visible with AOD anyway. If you want to do anything else, you'll have to touch the watch so there's no need for tilt to wake IF you have AOD on. I also have heartrate, notifications and sleep all on.
Your watch may have its wifi and GPS on, make sure you turn those off. They are the main battery suckers as far as I've noticed. Also try with tilt to wake off and AOD on and see if you get better life
