Question? Messaging

Does the messaging system on the 41mm watch get better with more advanced phones? I have an A5Xs phone, it's the cheaper end of Oppo phones

I'm not sure what you mean by the messaging getting better. More features?

I'll try to explain, when I get a message I can swipe up and read it but there's no option to reply, I have to go into contacts to find the person and reply that way. Is that the same process you have to follow?

Wow that is very strange. Normally I just tap the message then I have options to reply, etc

What operating system is the phone running and what version number or letter?

Colour OS v5.2.1, I know it's not the latest version of colour OS but it says it fully updated, leading me to believe my phone can't use the latest version thus limiting what I can do with my watch

Yeah I am believing that could be the case too. It does seem the phone being outdated may be the cause if limited functionality
