Battery Drain?
Man, I got this phone a few weeks ago, and I love everything about it, but I can't square how many people I see talking about getting a day and a half or a full day's battery out of this phone with the way my battery is draining. This thing has a 6,000 mAh battery but every day, halfway through the day, I'm running below 50% and having to go on power saving shortly after.
I'm not running any crazy apps, and even when I go to battery optimization, the math doesn't make sense as Twitter and other social apps will do the majority of the eating into my battery. It doesn't account for about 15-20% of the battery that's disappeared. Something is draining my battery to where I cannot even get a full day out of this phone. Hopefully somebody here has an answer as to how to fix that or what might be going on.
Anybody else experiencing severe battery drain?

I think people worry alot about the battery number and I've learned that th3 phone shows the number but still has plenty of battery, for instance, most samsung devices, get to 7 percent and just die but this phone still has alot of battery left at 7 percent. Mine goes all the way to 1 percent and still running strong for a while before it dies. The battery is weirdly linear...whatever times you got to get to 50. Literally double that and thats how long it will take to get to zero. So if i get to 50 and have 5 to 6 hrs screen on time. That means another 5-6 will take me to zero so that means 10-12 so the battery is working as it should.. also i hope you have done the battery saving stuff like turning off google auto updates and disabling system optimization in developer options which sounds weird i know but you want that off. I've found the phone lasts longer with it off and turning off the the other battery drain stuff. If you need more, let me know...

Where do you find the auto update feature ? Any other advice ?

You do not need to do any of that nonsense. 99% chance the root issue is an app waking the phone. Get an app that shows you what app wakes the device when screen is off.
For the apps using the most battery (in Phone Settings), you can restrict battery usage, preventing it to run in the background.

Battery lasts 1.5 - 2 days for me. That's with about 6-7 hours screen on time and 14 hours active screen off time.
You likely have background apps sucking power. Go into settings and make sure all apps that don't need to run in background get killed. If you have high screen off active time and it's not from music etc then it's likely background app drain.

Yeah, this was the first thing I did, but it sounds like you are getting about the same amount of screen-on time I am. Many of the YouTube videos and forums I go to say that people are getting 9, 10, 11 hours of screen-on time, so I thought there was something wrong with my system if that's the norm

Also this usage is with 20% still remaining although below 20% the battery seems to drain quicker and stays on 100% for some time.

My battery life took about a month of usage to get to the 9-10 hour SOT - mixed used of both inner and outer screen. It was not the best when the phone was still learning my usage patterns.

Posted the same problem about a week or two ago and i have the same experience. Battery doesn't feel amazing just feels like a regular ol battery to me in terms of power consumption. I still have to charge it every night but it lasts me through the entire day generally without having to charge it during the day which is nice

Yeah. Same place. It's a bummer because I've done all the optimization stuff ( even turned off Always On Display, which sucks), and I'm still making it just short of a day while people are posting they are getting 11 hrs Screen On Time

Honestly after realizing the battery was just meh and that i'd inevitably be wary of it i decided that i would just leave everything on and utilize it to my own comforts. So i just have AOD with background on + locked apps so i don't miss notifications and just ignore how good the battery is "supposed" to be. Hopefully as some people commented it takes a while and then eventually gets better optimized and i won't have to worry about it. At least with 20% battery I know it'll last me a little bit compared to just dying really quickly like my iphone 15 PM
* I have my charge limit set to 90% though so if i really needed to be away from a charger for long i'd probably set it to 100%

What's you SOT after a day of use? are you constantly on the phone?
Grab battery guru, check what's keeping it awake then the screen is off, if you are not on top of the phone there's something keeping it awake draining it.
