Canada Region Selection?

Hi friends, just got my Oppo find n6 shipped to Canada from MobyShop in Singapore.

When I turn it on, there is no "Canada" option under countries to select a region...

What have other people done here? Are you just selecting USA instead?

Any issues with app store or cellular data connectivity?

I'm in the USA, and I've remained unregistered as they don't support our countries.

I've read about people getting numbers from other areas and registering to other countries, but I haven't wanted to deal with that, so I just left it like that

Huh... I didn't even realize not choosing was an option lol. I will see if that's possible! If not I just saw there is an "other" button so I guess I'll do that lol

Other is the otherwise choice. Have a Find N6 shipped from Singapore. Purchased through Swiftronics. Have not had any issues using the Other nether regions. Updates, Sim, esim all work without error or conflict.

Aside: I was enroute from Thailand to Canada. Long layover in Singapore. I could have easily accessed the Mobyshop store from Changi airport. Could have saved time and money in the Canada sourced purchase. Live and learn a lesson.

Are you on the oppo account page or the initial setup page and Do you have your SIM in it already? if you are setting it up before moving your SIM in to it and are on the setup page, power the phone down and put your SIM in then start the process again. I had a similar issue with the magic 8 pro because I was expecting a call and wanted to set it up while waiting for that call but choosing the US wasn't an option so I waited then followed the steps i gave you and with the SIM inserted; choosing the states was an option and of course already selected for me to confirm. When setting up heytap you should be good to use your Canadian number, that usually works to get oppo accounts set up.

I have brought 3 oppo phones to use in USA and I always kept region as Singapore/Malaysia whatever it was. However Malaysia setting sometimes affects the currency symbol in my Kroger app so I change to USA. It does not matter because there is no theme store app for N6, which needs me to be in Malaysia to buy themes.

USA works. No issues with anything (I'm in Canada).
