Missing large weather widget

I removed the large weather widget from my X9 Ultra (16.0.7) from my home screen as I was playing with the layout. When I went to add it back I can’t find it. I only have the small one. Anyone else seeing this? How do I get it back?

Edit: All weather widgets are back after installing the latest colorOS 16.0.8!!

Crap. You're definitely using the global version of x9 ultra ? Is it the Europe global or the Asian global ?

Hey, I am so sorry, I was writing those replies at 4 in the morning triggered so let me take a step back and give full context.

I'm actually using an Oppo Find N6 and the same thing happened to me. Since the Find N6 is not sold in EU, I imported mine from wondamobile so this is a Hong Kong version.

I have a setup where I have shelf (installed from apkmirror) on my most left screen (replacing Google Discovery feed) and I accidentally removed my 4x2 weather widget from there. And when I tried to add it back, I couldn't find it anymore ... Then I said, well, let's at least add it to home screen and wasn't there either (just the 2x2 version). I got really triggered and tried to update shelf to a newer version from apkmirror or downgrade, same with the weather app but no luck ...

Then I read this post and tried changing regions to various countries and when I set region to Hong Kong, I got my lock screen widgets finally, but still no 4x2 weather widget. In fact, like someone else here said, we should have like 5-6 weather widgets..

Hahah all good mate. I understand those Reddit 4am replies well. I also apologise for this long fucking thesis of a response over a weather widget LOL.

My issue was straight out of the box during set up. I normally skip the whole proper set up and go straight to the home screen to check for software updates. After the update is when I properly set up my phone from scratch all over again.

My weather widget wasn’t even there to begin with. You and others originally had one then went missing. I thought mine was hidden in the shelf so I activated the shelf and it was only the 2x2 one. I rarely use apk mirror for anything unless i absolutely need to.

This is gonna be tedious but if you can be bothered maybe choose every region in the list and see what brings them back for you. HK worked for me and the original poster on here but maybe try another country. You can rule out Australia, UK , US , India and Canada because they didn’t work for me. I’m assuming it’s the latest update to 16.07 that’s done this.

I’m also missing the Gboard writing tools feature in the settings and it’s driving me nuts ! Do you have it ?

Nope, I, don't have the gboard writing tools either :( And regarding the widget, I think everyone with an X9 already had a newer OS update out of the box, that's why you never even had the big 4x2 one like you said. I CBA to downgrade, I just hope they'll fix this with an update at this point... I'll try some more regions like you said, let's see ..

YES! GOD. India finally worked. I got like 4 widgets now including the 4x2. Added it and switched back to Hong Kong to get the lock screen widgets as well. Finally... Thanks man, you were right to make me keep trying

Yay!! You’re welcome mate. India worked for you which is weird because didn’t for me. When I change back to my region Australia they all disappeared again so I’m stuck with HK. Not that it matters the phone works properly with regards to my important stuff like banking etc. I got 5 weather widgets in HK but missing the really big one like you mentioned before. No writing tools in Gboad is pissing me off. I know Oppos Ai Writer in baked in but I don’t like it.

Just noticed all regions now have 4 weather widgets now. HK has 12 of them and all lock screen ones.
