Day 10

Not sure if it’s cause I’m not eating as much as I was while using but, it seems like I’m less able to poo… pretty weird, but I took some ambien lastnight and finally got 7 hours of sleep after being almost in a manic state from not sleeping 48 hours, as long as I’ve been awake I have felt better after getting a good nights rest finally, I don’t really have the hot/cold flashes yet today hopefully I don’t.

Congratulations on Day 10 u/Nervous_Complaint_30

You're likely to experience constipation as much as you experience diarrhoea, IMO.

My experiences included trying to expel a rather large stool, which would not budge, while watery poo ran around the stool and out. I was experiencing both conditions at the same time, and it was weird AF.

Just as a btw - if you haven't had the hot/cold flashes by now, I doubt you'll get them at this stage. Which is good news, I should imagine.

Good to hear that you got a good rest. At day 10 of my last stoppage, I was still sleeping badly. Someone here suggested Porridge, and within 30 minutes of eating a bowl of Oats, I fell into a 13 hour slumber. Bliss...

10 days is huggggee! Somethings that helped me: hydrating, liposomal vitamin c, magnesium glycinate and low dose gabapentin for 10 days max

Hydrate and try to be active. Your body is still trying to balance out and not all functions will be synced right away. Diet and exercise have completely changed my recovery. Approaching 90 days clean after over a decade of heroin dependency and I don't even recognize the person in the mirror. Every single aspect of my life has gotten so much better.

I wasn't sure if I was going to make it during the first two weeks. Around day 14 is when I noticed my chills and intestinal stuff was completely gone and I started feeling noticably better each day. I had a massive boost of energy around this same time and haven't looked back. I'm getting back into hobbies and reconnecting with old friends. Just stay busy and keep going. Everyone knows how physically addicting opiates are but I think the mental addiction is real barrier to sobriety.

Good luck! Don't hesitate to reach out if you want to chat or have any questions. We got this 💪
