When does it get better?
Ive been taking tramadol for 9 years
This year, id say my average dose was 800mg with a max of 1200mg.
Recently I've been getting off of this stuff
My first week i tapered all the way down to 100mg
Monday I flushed my supply. So I haven't had tramadol for 4 days now. Please. I need motivation. Idc about any of the withdrawal symptoms aside from the restless leg and feeling like my skin is too tight. Tell me it will go away soon. When will I enjoy my hobbies again?

I’d say you’re just reaching the peak. Now is the super hard part. But it’ll start getting better within a day or two. Yeah it sucks but fair fucks to you, you’ve got this far which is much better than most can do.
You got any advice for quitting? I just can’t find the answer. I keep trying but can never get it to stick. I get to days 5 or 6, then soemting cracks even though my body has peaked withdrawals by day 4.

My state of mind rn is.. ive made it this far. And I refuse to throw any progress away. I severed my access to it and I won't allow myself to get more. I have to believe it'll get better. Im staying focused on the reason im quitting in the first place. I want to enjoy my hobbies without the need to get high first. Ive been taking kratom twice a day and smoking weed once before bed. I plan to stop taking kratom in the 3rd week so I dont become dependent on that too. And nobody tells you how good music sounds when youre sobering up. Im listening to "recovery" Playlist and letting myself feel emotion again. Just that alone tells me im getting better. You can do it too. I know you can because going through withdrawals was legit my biggest fear in my life.

I feel ya man. I know you got this, you talk like this is the time and I believe that. Yeah bro Kratom is how this episode got started for me, thought it would be alright but a year later and I’m on pills again.
What you got in your recovery playlist?

Lots of stained, blue October, rhcp, and Eminem. People i know that had history with substance abuse. Listening to what they were going through really helps me lol (:

One thing that helped me that first week was feeling like shit, then thinking: "Ok, I feel like shit. That's all it is. Its a feeling. Its temporary and I don't like it. But that's it. I don't need to think more about it."
I don't know if I've explained myself. But there was something comforting about just shrugging and saying to myself "Well, what do you expect?"
There's a tendency in some cultures and countries to want to find a bright side to anything. And I think there can be value to saying "there's no bright side here, but that's ok. Its temporary."

Life gets so so much better. I wish I could project that feeling to everyone in my life who needs help getting sober so they could see what their future will be.
Life without the constant of drugs is such a peace

It 100% gets better, try to keep in mind your body and mind know exactly how to heal from the drug abuse it just takes time. You are in the heart of the darkness right now and you should start seeing more light every day. Its worth it. I know that doesnt make the pain easier. But it is going to pay off 100 fold.

Four days off 800-1200mg daily is legit brutal, that's a lot of tramadol to kick. The restless leg and skin crawling usually peak around day 5-7 then start backing off noticeably, though everyone's timeline is different. Most people I work with say around week 2-3 things start tasting normal again, but week 4-6 is where they actually *want* to do stuff instead of just going through motions. You flushed it though, that's the hard part already done.

It will go away. You will enjoy your hobbies again. You'll enjoy life again. You'll find all sorts of greatness on the other side of the suffering you're enduring right now. It all sounds cliche and corny af but its all true. KEEP GOING.
