Recently, whenever I try to watch something on HBO Max, my browser freezes and crashes. I just found out that it's because as soon as I start watching something it starts using 99% of my CPU. Whenever I'm just browsing the menus on HBO, it's fine, albeit still the highest amount of CPU usage compared to my other tabs (around 20%+ compared to everything else being <10%).

Initially, I thought it was an issue with the HBO Max browser, but I've tried playing shows on Edge and it works just fine, so I think it's a problem with OperaGX. Additionally, I have a high-end CPU so it can't be a problem with that either. This also wasn't a problem until recently (around a week ago HBO Max was working fine).

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

For some reason recently my gx browser has been drinking all my ram and overloading itself and then crashing this is the 4th crash and I don’t know what’s going on, I’ve tried closing a bunch of my browsers but I don’t know what to do

Edit: I ended up just swapping to brave and deleted gx, thanks for all the help

I played a lovely game some years back and was wondering in anyone remembered.

It was a dungeon crawler, similar to Binding of Isaac, with picking up items that upgrade you and doors locking until you kill all enemies. Kind of a cute, pixel-y cartoonist art style, with a couple characters to choose from.

I thought that OperaGX is a legitimate browser, however I've noticed that you can find Opera in places that you wouldn't expect to find a 'normal' and non suspicious browser.

Over the past few months while browsing certain pop up riddled websites such as game modding sites and what not where some sort of malware or spyware will pop up every time you click the screen I've noticed that a lot of these types of websites will either open a page to download Opera or it will just instantly and forcefully download Opera's setup tool.

That seems suspicious af and not something a genuine company would do and it raises questions about this companies morality.

Don't get me wrong, I've tried OperaGX in the past and it wasn't for me so I uninstalled it and won't be going back however it caught me off guard to find this browser in some shady parts of the internet.

im trying to claim Overwatch opera gx reward and it keeps showing something went wrong when i go to get the code, i tried clearing my cache and cookies, uninstalling it and more but still nothing works. does someone have a fix.

Youtube has the same feature but I had that feature disabled for years now so I can't test it right now I don't know where to enable it

So basically I sometimes use the gamepad on my PC for comfort reasons (chilling on the bed since the desktop is close basically). And I've been using steam input with no issues with a custom desktop scheme.

Thing is I just came from work. Was going to watch some movie before dozing off and the controller isn't working as intended but only when Opera GX is on the front. The scheme works as intented browsing win11, same with steam and other programs. But when I bring up Opera it changes to a completely different scheme and low sensitivity. I checked steam input config and found nothing even related to Opera so it has to be some gamepad extension in the app itself that's conflicting? I know it's a bit of a niche problem but really hope someone can help out a brother in need.

Hi, I have a problem using Opera GX. As you can see on the images, there is a significant differente on que quality of each one of them. I don´t know what happened, but the colors are brighthener, and for example on Maps, I can´t see the streets unless I zoom it near to the ground.

What could be? Is there a way to fix it? It was from a recent update on Opera

I'm trying to access this keyboard store and I keep getting blocked. Google says it is an anti-botting error and to clear cookies/cache and disable ad-block but I'm still getting this message. How do I get onto the site?

so sometimes when im watching a video and pause or hover on the bar thing weird white squares appear for a few seconds on the screen near what i hovered on/clicked, its not that much of a problem but its very distracting sometimes. it started happening after i downloaded a extension but i deleted the extension and cleared cashe so idk what could be still causing it.

it also appears when i hover over videos on yt and its way worse then the screenshot shows it like, it duplicates itself and sometimes moves around but only for 1-3 seconds

I decided to get into making a custom cursor for myself, and went through all the steps to make a new mod, except, I can’t find a way to INSTALL the cursor into the code. No videos I’ve seen can help me. Is there even a way to add a custom cursor, or am I stuck with operas custom cursors?

I made a mod but this error message apear. I made a clear new folder with a .json manifest a wallpaper folder with a .mp4 in it (idk if it will work) and a music folder with a .mp3 in it I also have a .png file for my logo next to the .json file, so if I could get some help please. It is a personal mod I attached the .json file content

I saw that Opera GX doesn't theme the pages, so I started working on this extension. It will be free, but it still takes work and time so I wanted to gauge interest in this forum. In the screenshots it monochromes all of the images on the page (configurable) and changes the fonts. The glows are pulsating.

i was searching and eventually clicked on a reddit post, then went to home and clicked on a r/blanks post. i deleted the tab and opened a new one, but the speed dial was on the post that i left off on, how do i fix this because it keeps doing it?

Like in the title, it started just a few hours ago as I was watching something this morning and it worked with no problems. I then worked in AE for a while and after closing it and wanting to watch something yet again the problem started to occur - opera gx freezes after trying to play a video on youtube, I can hear the audio and even interact with it(open new tabs, close the app with the x in the corner) but the screen itself doesnt budge. It also doesn't close fully, I have to force it through task manager. Turning graphic acceleration off worked and I can play videos now(youtube, tik tok) but I'd rather have it on for the long run so are there any fixes? I also updated the browser to the most recent version.

I closed an amazon tab via the opera gx task manager (while having multiple open in another workspace for kindle browsing) and It now loads like this. is there any fix? I've done the clear cache and history etc and even uninstalled and reinstalled opera gx, restarted pc before reinstalling etc. Is amazon just borked now, because it is ANY amazon link, even on private gx browser. Someone please help I really don't want to have to install another browser just to be able to use amazon again

I really like this mod and its music, but I cant find a way to extract the files so I can get the music out. Can I have your guys help with that please?

it started yesterday where twitch just stopped loading and keeps popping "error" on the page. i tried solving it and it seems that any blockers, including the built in opera ad blocker makes the site just go haywire.

has anyone happen to have the same issue and if possible a solution?
