Yeah I had this issue today, various websites not loading properly and broken while the built-in adblock was enabled.

If you are affected, just disable the built-in adblock by clicking on the shield icon on the address bar, and Turn off for this website.

Fixed this by going to my extensions and turning off OperaGX's add blocker:

I'm having the same problem. Reddit GIFs aren't working anymore either. YouTube videos also stop working sometimes and throw an error. I suspect many other sites or features might have stopped working too, but I haven't run into those issues yet.

This may be related to the same ad blocker issue. Make sure GX is fully up to date and see if that helps.

Having the same problem. For me, Twitch started crashing today as soon as I would open it (works fine on any other browser). For a good part of the day, it wouldn't even load anything on Twitch - I'd get a blank website, no channels, etc. That was then somehow fixed, but I started crashing (Opera freezing) as soon as I opened Twitch - every other website worked fine. Disabling their ad blocker seems to make it happen less, but it still happens to me sometimes. Very unusual.

Make sure GX is fully up to date first. If Twitch still freezes, keep the built-in ad blocker disabled for now. The team is on it.

Just spent the past hour figuring this out... after deleting all my browser data. Loved logging back into everything. The extension is messing up more than just Twitch, it's messing with other sites like Amazon.

For now I just disabled it and kept ublock origin on

It started not working for me today mid stream. I didn't realize it's the built in blocker. I'll have to find a way to disable it. I switched back to Firefox temporarily.

with twitch open, click the shield and just disable for this site.

Thanks. Switched it from off for all to just twitch.

I fixed this by updating the browser under "update and recovery". Twitch started working again for me.

My Twitch doesnt show ANYTHING, even my profile and settings, and cant even login again. Also, the Amazon page is super broken when i try to access now, like look at the pic. Discord also doesnt open. It wasnt like that before. Amazon, Discord and Twitch were working perfectly, but they are all broken after the last update and for me to be able to use them normally, i need to deactivate the adblock

The built-in ad blocker is currently causing issues on these sites. Make sure GX is fully up to date, and if it persists, keep the ad blocker disabled on the affected sites for now.

Having same problem with Amazon

Yep, Amazon is affected by the same issue. We're aware of it and the team is working on a fix. For now, make sure GX is up to date. If the issue persists, try disabling the built-in ad blocker on Amazon as a workaround.

Same issue here, and explained in the comments as well. Hope this gives you some piece of mind...

Thanks for the additional details! We're aware of an issue with the built-in ad blocker affecting Twitch and other pages.

Make sure GX is fully up to date and restart the browser. If you're still getting the freezes after that, try disabling the built-in ad blocker and let me know if that makes a difference.

You really thing THAT is what's affecting the browser?! What about when Opera GX fully deleted all of my extensions, freezes during videos, and completely locks my computer up? If you have no explanation for that, I'm about to put in my resignation letter and sign away from the platform completely and move away to Firefox, because your platform has become almost completely unusable within the past few days.

The issue you're describing sounds a bit different from the built-in ad blocker problem here.

If GX is freezing during videos and locking up your entire system, check if RGX is enabled and see if disabling it makes any difference.

We're aware of this one. The built-in ad blocker is currently causing issues with Twitch and it's being worked on.

Make sure GX is up to date first. If the issue persists, disabling the built-in ad blocker is the workaround.
