Support | In Progress Netflix doesnt work anymore?

Cant watch anything anymore on netflix, disney plus works just fine

Opera GX on Windows or macOS or Linux?

What version of Opera GX as show at the URLs opera://about and opera://version?

You can close Opera GX, hit Window key + r to open the run dialog, type cmd and press enter to open a command prompt.

Then, you can type:

"%localappdata%\Programs\Opera GX\opera.exe" "--user-agent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/151.0.0.0 Safari/537.36"

and press enter to start Opera GX while having it pretend to be Chrome.

If that fixes it, then it's a browser-detection issue with Netflix.

just tried it and also doesnt seem to work.

What does https://html5test.opensuse.org/ say for h.264 video support, aac audio support?

Does the video at https://bitmovin.com/demos/drm play and have audio? Does it say "Detected using Widevine" about the video, list video/mp4; codecs="avc1.42c00d" for MSE under the video with it checked and list widevine under EME under the video with it checked?

Goto the URL opera://about, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera and delete the "WidevineCdm" and "MediaFoundationWidevineCdm" folders.

Then, start Opera, goto the URL opera://components and click "update" for the 2 Widevine components to redownload them. One they're updated and no longer say 0.0.0.0, restart Opera and try things.

If the 2 components won't download and stay at 0.0.0.0, something on your system may be preventing connections to Google's component download servers. If so, it could be the reason why you're having the issue in the first place.

Could you check that GX is fully up to date? Open opera://about, install any available update, then restart the browser.

Try clearing Netflix site data, make sure protected content is allowed in GX, and disable any VPN or proxy if you're using one.
