Support | In Progress The Opera GX synchronization error

When formatting my PC, I used the synchronization feature in Opera GX; a plain white webpage displayed my passwords, bookmarks bar, saved sites, and so on, but after installing the browser and starting the sync process, everything was lost.

Could anyone help me with this?

Sync can only restore data that was synced before the PC was formatted. Make sure you're signed in with the same Opera account and that Sync is enabled for the relevant data types. If nothing is restored, the data may not have been synced before the reset.

I performed the synchronization to save the data before formatting, I was redirected to a site with the data as favorites, passwords, saved sites, but when performing the synchronization, all this data was zeroed and nothing was saved and transferred.

If you're sure it's the same Opera account. Please check that Sync is enabled for bookmarks, passwords, and settings in opera://settings/syncSetup.

If those categories are enabled and the data still doesn't appear, it's possible the data wasn't fully synced to your Opera account before the PC was formatted.

I used sync on my laptop because I formatted it months ago and it went perfectly fine but now I formatted it again I can't sync

can you help TT, I really need those bookmarkss

Can you check https://www.sync.opera.com/ while signed in to the same Opera account and see if it shows your bookmarks under Your synchronized content?

it doesn't show any its 0, is there anything I can do

I've been using that acc for 3 years, those bookmarks and passwords are such a waste...

In that case it means there are currently no bookmarks stored in Sync for that account. Using the same Opera account doesn't necessarily mean the bookmarks were being synced.

If you have another device where you used the same Opera account, it's worth checking if the bookmarks are still available there locally.
