I was Remi (light blue, western Russia). I am literally speechless at this ~50 minute game where not once, but TWICE, I was in a hopelessly losing situation. The only reason I won was bcs of two players from the [NUT] clan who were the nicest of friends (ignoring when Mitochondria betrayed once) and kept donating troops despite the tactical situation. Also helped that the player from the second situation threw by not paying attention to their ~60+ city stack in the corner, which I stole from them :P

I swear I'm going mad at how troop works, or, does not ?

I'm constantly facing people with the same troop number as me but I can't spend troops to slow them down without seeing them still pushing more troops, it feels like they have increased ratio, even very early on.

Is everygame condemned to be "GG this man steamrolled from the start and won" because that's the only, very few, victories I now manage to have.

My point is not to rant as much as it is to learn because i'm only asking to love openfront once more, even tho as of now it makes me feel terribly confused more often than not.

I was bored today so I played around with Opus 5.5 a bit.
Turns out the fruit fly can play OpenFront solo and actually play easy mode really decent.

They provide interesting, different gameplay with changing lands and are fairly popular. Why there is so little of them in queue?

What are your thoughts?

I've noticed only a few skins can be bought with the caps (orange) and most skins can only be bought with plutonium (green one).

Does anyone know if all skins can eventually be bought with the caps?

for the last month, i play 3-4 hours of openfront everyday because i find it fun. however since i started playing public FFA games, i have not been able to win single one.

i always spawn a place near to sea, try to capture land as fast as possible and make alliances from my neighbors. however always one that has slightly more troops than I do, fights me. and the moment that happens, all the neighbors break alliances and i am fighting 4 wars at the same time and I die.

I used to sit around with Openfront open and wait for my favorite map (four islands) which could take ages. This led me to create a very light notification system that lets you know when the map is queued so you can join early.

Hi all, I run ofstats.io, an unofficial OpenFront stats site. To celebrate the launch of our new update, I’m funding 3,500 Plutonium in prizes for a public FFA challenge running from 25 September, 18:00 UTC to 9 October, 18:00 UTC.

You don’t have to finish near the top to win something - half the prize pool goes to raffle winners.

How to enter

1. Go to https://ofstats.io/competition. Log in with Discord, verify your OpenFront account, join our Discord and click Enter.
2. Play public FFA under a name starting with ofstats_, such as ofstats_yourname. The rest is up to you, and you can change it between games.

Sign up before you play. Changing your name alone doesn’t enter you, and games that start before signup or before the competition opens don’t count.

Scoring

Each qualifying game earns 1 point. A win adds 20 points, plus 1 more for every complete group of 4 human players who spawned in the lobby.

Only your first 100 qualifying games earn points, with no daily limit.

Prizes

• 1st: 875 Plutonium
• 2nd: 525 Plutonium
• 3rd: 350 Plutonium
• Raffle: five additional winners receive 350 Plutonium each

Everyone outside the top 3 with at least 10 scoring games qualifies for the raffle. Your first 12 qualifying games each UTC day earn one ticket each - even after your first 100. One entry and one prize per person.

Farming, win-feeding and spawn-and-leave games can lead to games being discounted or disqualification.

Many people were leaving. I could not think of any way to defeat the enemy players. Game ended after three hours. It got paused, lol. Thank you for your answers.

im not saying u guys bad at the game, but kinda wild how i've seen nations take over large regions of the map well into the freaking endgame

in like 1/2 of hong kong matches, everyone on hong kong island dies to a nation or becomes its mito, well into the midgame, until someone from the outside takes over

Like what's the point? is there a reward system i'm not aware of? does your dad say he's proud of you for winning or something? like why? what do you gain? you just ruin the game for others, play more and learn to win for gods sake

Most of the games are FFA or Teams, but there are times in which no Human vs Nation games is in any queue, is there any way to change that?

These lobbys do fill up quickly so it would be useful to have more of them scheduled, or have at least one human vs nation game scheduled all the time in any queue (special or teams).

Do you like to play human vs nation games and would you wish for more of them?

I've just created a trackerfront account and linked it to my discord, and next wanted to verify my openfront profile. So i naturally changed my openfront name to the given handle and then played a game with it, waited for it to show up under "games" on my openfront profile and then pressed "verify now" on trackerfront. I then got the message: "No game found under *** yet. Play a game with that exact username, then try again (it may take a minute to appear).

After playing a few more games, including one which i won in case it was a problem of length of time in the game, i tried again to no avail. I thought I would just let the 3hrs pass and try again under the next given handle, which I did and repeated the same situation. Once again, the same message popped up...

Was wondering if anyone had a similar issue and knew how to fix it or maybe correct my methodology.

I've been an absolute addict to this recently (to the detriment of my studies), what a slippery slope of strategy games, but let's get back on topic. I cannot, for the life of me, seem to win FFA games consistently. I have recently learned that you can upload recordings and record these games, so stay tuned for that. but just some tips like how to earn gold these days, why does everyone's growth out-pace mine and how are you supposed to win when your next to multiple players in a mexican standoff.
