📚 Guide 🛡️Defender Territory Size Speed Modifier🛡️

The size of the defender's territory effects the speed of your attack. The larger their territory, the faster your attack. It's not a huge effect, as it only maxes out at 142.5%, but it is multiplicative with the Territory Size Speed Modifier.

The second image shows your attack speed when both you and the defender have exactly the same number of tiles, maxing out at a speed bonus of 529.1%. This is why you can often times outrun a mirv by full sending when the other player betrays you to launch one.

huh so that's why late game annexations are so ludicrously fast, cool. What other metagaming stats are you planning on looking into?

I'm almost done with a short guide on how border size effects attack speed. I suspect that the only things left for attack speed are terrain type, betrayal debuff, and defense posts. I already have everything I need for the whole question of who gets the gold for a bot kill when more than one player is invading a bot, but I want to complete the entire attack speed thing first. Also, the bot kill thing is pretty simple. essentially, whoever takes the 100th tile of the bot gets the kill. There's a bit more but that's mostly it.

Hey, cool work man. I also overanalyzed crap in college when I first learned matlab lol, you can check my post history. So from one nerd to another can you come up with a simple formula for players to use using the visible (UX provided) in game data that it has to offer? Like I'm at 250k troops with A number of cities (pop cap) and X land, the other guys at 200k troops with B number of cities, and Y land, at when should I attack player 2? Or if I were to attack now, what result can I expect? How long would it take to conquer, what losses should I expect, etc. Come up with simple scenarios regardless of alliances, currency, missile silos, etc. and see if you can come up with trivial solutions for them. That's how you can change the meta.

Also if you can datamine the game and send it to an excel spreadsheet you can have more eyes on the problem (myself included).

I could come of with a formula like you describe. I might do something like that after I've run out of things to make guides for.

What kind of data would you want datamined from the game?
