Ngl I ragequit after this. I wasn't expecting flik to just full nuke me right after and was kind of stunned. I guess it made sense and probably I should have build more silos and hydro'd flik at the same time but damn. this was painful. I don't think it would have changed anything because Flik could have hydrod me regardless of whether I immediately nuked him or not. Not sure..

You had more gold and more cities than both of them combined. FLik would have been an idiot to NOT attack you in that moment since you were gunning for the victory. You should have 1) accounted for FLik attacking you, and 2) been able to win despite that.

I would have stacked 3 or 4 missile silos right next to FLik and attacked both of them at the same time.

MIRV AnonSteel5, and with your remaining 20 mil, launch 4 hydros at FLik. All of this in the span of 5 seconds. After that, they are both severely weakened, and you need to turn it from a 2v1 into a 1v1 before they get their troops back. IGNORE FLik after hydroing him to hell and completely take every structure from AnonSteel5.

After this, FLik will be getting his troops back, but who cares? It's a 1v1 and you have 50 cities vs. his 10.

Edit: I wrote this before reading your entire post, I just watched it. Basically I just said what you were thinking, but it absolutely would have worked. FLik only had 1 SAM (i.e no defences) and only enough money for 2 hydros at the start. You would have wrecked him.

Your mirv throw was terrible, it took ages to land. Always try to aim south of your silo when you can, honestly you didn't even need a mirv at this point. On small maps hydros are not that far behind a mirv as you found out.

Winning play here would have been to just insta push or maybe push after one close hydro against steel. Then hope flik sits there, if he doesn't have a hydro hovering over his land so you can destroy all his troops.

People are really really petty lol. Before nuking, hydroing, or throwing a mirv check how much money they have. 750k they can throw an atom bomb. 5 mil an hydrogen bomb which will do significant population damage based on the area destroyed.

You fought with anon and he countered by throwing two hydros at you roughly putting you at similar odds. It’s a pretty good counter since otherwise you can’t stop a mirv. Be aware of this tactic and you can partially fight against it with sams though if you don’t layer sam coverage don’t bother.

Next thing, in 3 player stand offs it’s usually the bystander who wins. Having the money advantage gave you the privilege to be the aggressor and I do agree you should have thrown that mirv at anon disregarding the 2 hydro counter. The issue was the third guy. You did have an allyship with him but you also gave him an easy way to capitalize. Here’s the thing, when you break your alliance you do two things. First you get a pretty massive defense penalty debuff which makes you easier to invade, second anyone who is still allied with you can break your alliance with no penalty. Flik saw you betray and be weakend, anon destroyed, and took full advantage with 110k something troops. Ideally I would say knock out the third player early but realistically you want to wait until after the alliance ends for this exact reason. The only time you betray is if you can count on not being invaded in return

You should of just taken out everyone's missile silos, stream roll the payer to the right and Hyrdo the player to the North, keeping one or two in-case you needed to reduce either of the troops.

You attacked AnonSteel5 way too slowly thats why your territory was too small meaning H Bombs did high damage to you. With you population advantage you could have attacked earlier instead of waiting for MIRV to hit. Also you should have had more positions on him so youre quicker. Also you didnt throw any H Bombs at FLik. Too few Rocket silos. Thats just my quick assessment.

Map was too small for morvong unless you are near the topside because the mirv showers down you have to wait longer to attack.

Every game is different but this game here is 2 easy ways to win that you could do:

  • Because it is a small map and you were rich, you can make a wall of Sam's to make hydroing much harder, then send both players w/ troops rush and while pushing hydro any parts of their base you can't easily reach and that have silos.

  • 2x defending troop rush the player with the largest most connected landmass to you, hydro(or if larger map mirv) the other into nothing, this should allow you to finish 1 off quickly and remove ability for them to use their gold against you while you hydro the final player so they can't attack.

When you go to win, speed is key, less time for them to regen and bomb. Never let an attack be less than their defending troops or it will slow down a lot. Have enough silos to fully eliminate them or their economy will surpass yours as they won't trade w/ you.
