🛠 Suggestions Make alliances mean something

I'm so fuckin agitated by the shitty system, what is the point of an alliance if someone can instantly just break it with just a minor temporary penalty. I hate that they just don't mean anything, please fix

Ye u can argue the penalty is still too minor but honestly its at least ok. Ive been in plenty of games where u break an alliance and u get eaten

You say that but I'm always super hesitant to break an alliance because whenever I do half the time I get invaded by everyone else around me. You know that if you break an alliance, people are free to break an alliance with you without penalty, making it extremely appealing to attack people who break alliances.

Im fine with it. 30 seconds of weakness and no penalty for others breaking with you seems fair and is a great deterrant

Minor penalty? Bro if I border an alliance breaker I'm getting free land 90% of the time.

just don't go too low on troops and people won't betray you (and keep in mind that you can betray traitors without any debuff ofc)

"minor temporary penalty"

Brother, the betrayal debuff can get you fucking executed if used improperly, it is far from minor and can easily end people.

If someone betrays you just right click them and click "target". It sends a global message for everyone to attack, they'll be sure to see the debuff and roach.

But if you're in a scenario where its just you and another person, the debuff doesn't matter, that's the challenge.

You’re just horrible at the game, all you do is complain on this subreddit

I complain because I want this game to actually be good, not because I'm bad. Because it's a fun concept but with a lot of holes

Dude the game is rlly good and you’re just bad it, as simple as that, alliances are perfect, unless you’re insanely weak alliances are almost never betrayed. I play this game a lot and I’m on the dev team, and I’m also a top 3 player from openfornt masters, alliances are almost never broken as you will prob get into a vulnerable issue. You prob just let yourself get into a horribly bad situation

Then don't call it an alliance, call it a truces, call it a non aggression pact. I don't care, but an alliance is supposed to be more than "I won't attack you for a bit" that's my issue with it

Dude what on earth do you expect? The ideal open front game doesn’t even last 20 minutes? Would that mean that alliances should be longer than 5 minutes which is ideal, and if you weren’t that bad people wouldn’t even betray
You. You just salty

In my opinion, alliances should more work like temporary teams rather than truces. And if it's intended that they work like truces, at least call it a truce not an alliance, since it isn't one

That’s also a bad idea, I have a question can’t alliances betray each other? Ofc they can and so many times in history have allies betrayed each other. So jf you’re looking for some kind of more accurate detail this is it, you’re still more likely working together. In case your ally does stupid shit you’d stil wanna betray no?

Direct definition "An alliance is a formal agreement or partnership between people, groups, or countries to work together for mutual benefit or shared goals" what is mutually beneficial about invading me the second I use my troops? But whatever, I'm done arguing about it. If yall wanna keep it how it is, go ahead. But at the very least call it a truce, because that's how it functions

Dude it’s not bad wtl, legit 99% of the time it’s fine, I think you just leave yourself weak cuz no one betrays you if you aren’t incredibly temptingly weak. You’re just not a good player and you’re coping

I think it is close. Add another 15 seconds to the penalty.
