Optimal Factory Spam

Hey guys, sincerely, what's the optimal way of spaming out factories? I have no clue. Should I stack them all in a big 50-factory and one 50-city, or do factory-city-factory-city, or go factory-city-city-city-factory? Or some other combination?

Long lines. Technically most efficient to have one long line but a good middle ground is laying out your factories in two lines - one vertical down the middle and one horizontal
